Ryan Cassata shares the new visual for his single, “Extended Vacation” from his upcoming album, The Witches Made Me Do It. “I shot this music video over the weekend in the beautiful Malibu, California. I think that you’ll enjoy the scenery,” he states.
He continued, “It is is one of the earlier songs that my girlfriend Jeni and I wrote together for my upcoming LP The Witches Made Me Do It. We wrote it on a beat-up acoustic guitar just hours after writing “Bamboo Plants.” It’s about many aspects of my life including but not limited to; falling in love, not dropping an album for a long time, sort-of disappearing, and the desire to get back to recording and playing music live. It’s about the inspiration that my relationship brought to me…a magical gift…a true cosmic awakening.”
I love the tone of his vocals, so smooth but also very emotional as he talks about his daily thoughts. He just wants to be free for a little while, not too much to ask. I love the indie-folk blend with a little country.
